Suite de la Verde Vida Para Viola y Orquesta (Live) Federico García Lorca's Imaginary Journey to Costa Rica

Written by Marysabel Huston, these album notes imagine Federico García Lorca's posthumous visit to Costa Rica through the vision of acclaimed composer Marvin Camacho.

Written as a narrative journey through a four-movement suite with a narrated interlude, the notes create a literary bridge between Lorca's iconic verse, "Verde que te quiero verde," and Costa Rica's verdant landscape, weaving together Spanish poetry and Latin American musical heritage.

Drawing from extensive research into Lorca's relationship with folk traditions and Camacho's work with indigenous Costa Rican communities, the notes transform traditional liner notes into an immersive experience.

The writing explores cultural connections across time and geography, connecting Lorca's musical background, his love for Andalusian cante jondo, and the shamanic rituals of Costa Rica's rural communities.
