About Me

I'm a Venezuelan-American music journalist who's spent over 20 years turning cultural moments into conversations that resonate across borders.

My career began in radio, where I discovered the power of storytelling through sound. That early love led me to CNN, where I spent 14 years producing content across radio, TV, and digital platforms—covering everything from breaking news to the pop culture moments that define our time.

In 2017, I became one of CNN en Español's innovators by launching Zona Pop CNN, their first original podcast. As co-producer and co-host, I spent five years creating conversations about Latin music and culture that reached audiences worldwide. During the pandemic, I also developed "Coronavirus: Realidad vs. Ficción," a daily podcast that delivered crucial information to Spanish-speaking communities globally.

My work has earned Emmy and Peabody Award nominations, 10 Latin Podcast Awards, and a Shorty Award. But the recognition I'm most proud of? The 1 million+ views on my analysis videos breaking down the symbolism in artists like Rosalía, Bad Bunny, and Pablo Alborán.

Today, I work independently with major labels like Sony Music Latin, contribute editorial work to The Latin Recording Academy, and host La Clave Pop—my podcast exploring Latin music through artist interviews and cultural analysis. I've produced over 10,000 pieces across my career, but what drives me isn't the volume—it's the connection.

I'm passionate about bridging cultures through music journalism. Whether I'm writing artist biographies, conducting viral analysis, conducting in-depth interviews, or translating complex cultural moments for global audiences, my goal is always the same: to make Latin music culture accessible and compelling to the world.
